Do you use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome as your internet browser? You might have noticed that text does not render as sharply as with Internet Explorer. If so, you might play around with the ClearType display setting. ClearType is  Microsoft's subpixel font rendering technology.  Right-click on your desktop. Click on Properties. Select the Appearance tab. Click on Effects. On the drop down, select ClearType under Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts.
