Subject: The Clash at the Glen - Volunteer Website Update!

Good afternoon everyone!

I am pleased to announce that there has been fantastic driver response and enrollment for the Zone 1 Clash at the Glen and that we have reached capacity. This is great news for our Zone One Club Race! As you are well aware, in order to help make this event a true success we need volunteers to help us run the event.

We sent out the volunteer registration flyer a while back, requesting that volunteers sign up through http://clubregistration.net. For those that have taken the time to register, thank you.

We have heard feedback from some individuals who are not familiar with clubregistration.net and are having difficulty registering. In response to this feedback we have created an additional sign up method. For those who have signed up through clubregistration.net, there is no need to register again.

In order to ensure that we have an accurate count of the volunteers, we ask that you take a few moments to sign up to ensure that everyone is accounted for. This will also help us to tally up the giveaways (jackets, hats and other goodies) as well as the Zone 1 gift certificates being offered.

We would appreciate if you could update your Region's websites and newsletters with this information as well as spread the word to fellow club members so that we can get this new portal information out.

Forecast: Sunny with cloudy periods and 12 degrees is the forecast for Monday, April 30, 2012 for the Braidan/Michelin Charity Event at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) but you are NOT going to be there (as a driver) unless you register by midnight tonight.

The event is open to any White, Black or Red Run Group drivers as classified by UCR so please register immediately; first login - "Diving/Tech", "Driver Education", "Register for Events". There will be no "manual" registrations at the track so please make sure you get on the drivers list before midnight tonight. The $78.00 fee is by credit card only, through the website.

Sign-In & Registration: The new registration building isn't built yet. I'll try and set up near the bottom of the stairs just below the staging area and tower from 7AM to 8AM. (find my car: Photo attached) Please make sure to bring your valid driver's license and UCR membership card. You'll sign the waiver, hand in your Tech Inspection (self-tech has been approved for this event but you still need to hand in the completed form) and then you will receive your run-group sticker.

I'm in the first run group, so if you are late - sorry - you'll wait!

Does any onr know what this is. I could not find a link . I think that it is the Friday before the trackwalk event

Friday June 8th UCR will hold its first Charity track day and Instructor training day. The Charity is the Durham Down Syndrome Association. The morning track sessions will consist of the Red run group drivers giving track tours to the DDSA under the PCA touring protocols. They will be assisted by the Black run group who will provide traffic and crowd control. After a complimentary lunch the afternoon sessions will be run by our Chief Instructor Stephen Goodbody. The sessions will concentrate on Instructor training and one on one advancement exercises for the Black run group.

The cost for this day will be the donation of your time to the Charity sessions in the morning and some gas. The rewards will be the opportunity to put a smile on the face of your passenger and their care givers. While the track sessions are open to the Red and Black run groups only, we would encourage any other UCR members who would like to volunteer to help out for the day to join us as well.

This event is being chaired by Del Bruce and David Forbes, if you have any questions about being involved just give us a call.
